GREEN LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS
ASSOCIATION The regular meeting was called to order at 8:00 a. m. by Chairperson B. Halgren. Also present were D. Baken, G. Broman, T. Broman, R. Jansen, J. Nelson, J. Pederson, G. Roverud, K. TerWisscha, M. Wacholz, and T. Frazee. Absent with called in excuse was M. Quale. The agenda was adopted as mailed out. Motion by G. Broman, seconded by M. Wacholz to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of 16 July 2005. Motion carried. Motion by K. TerWisscha, seconded by D. Baken to approve the financial conditions for the month of August . Motion carried REPORTS:
OLD BUSINESS There was no old business to be brought forward. NEW BUSINESS Discussion was held about the bridge on C. R. # 4, Green Lake outlet. Gregg Souip and Gary Danielson have agreed upon a new bridge at the same location, only being wider. A fence will be put in place to keep people from fishing on the bridge. A walking path will be completed on this, the north east side of the lake. A fishing pier will be placed off the road way, on the lake. T. Frazee showed the Board the new Patrol Vest for the winter season. Two vests were donated by Duininck Construction Company with the words “Green Lake Patrol” sewed on the back side. The patrol person will carry identification card with him. Residents will have until 15 September 2005 to sign up for winter patrol this season. B. Halgren explained to the Board about the letter received regarding noise on highway 23. Green Lake Property Owners will have until 15 September to place the objects with MNDOT. Discussion was held about the Directory for 2006. Dollars budgeted for the directory are $2,700.00. The Board wished the directory to remain content as in the past years. The Board is asking for colored/black and white pictures for the cover for the 2006 directory. Any picture should be mailed to Green Lake Property Owners Association with owners name, address and telephone number on the back of the picture. Discussion was held about people mowing their grass onto the roadway. These grass clippings will find their way into the storm sewers and possible into Green Lake. The Board agreed that the Green Lake Breeze has had two articles each year for the past three years which they felt is sufficient information to all members. The Board did ask members to please control all grass clippings in storm sewers off your property. Information was presented about the Fishing Lead exchange program sponsored by the Green Lake Property Owners Association. This exchange program will take place at Mel’s Sport Shop in Spicer on Thursday, 25 August between the hours of 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. Discussion was held about the fishing rules/regulation meeting sponsored by the DNR on Thursday, 25 August between the hours of 5:00 p. m. and 8:30 p. m. at the Dethloff Senior Center in Spicer. The GLPOA encourages all residents to attend to voice their opinion on the removal of fishing regulations for walleyes for 2006. M. Wacholz stated 688 cards have been sent to the Minnesota DNR office along with the numerous articles in the paper. Motion by M. Wacholz, seconded by J. Pederson to donate $100.00 to the Carey Airplane Restoration Fund. Motion carried Motion by R. Jansen, second by T. Broman to adjourn. Motion carried.
